The Gixxer 250 looks near-identical to its younger sibling
Suzuki has finally launched the Gixxer 250 in India at Rs 1.59 lakh. That’s around Rs 10,800 cheaper than its faired siblings - the Gixxer SF 250. It’s available in two paint options – Metallic Matte Platinum Silver/Metallic Matte Black and Metallic Matte Black colour. While the overall design looks identical to its younger sibling, the Gixxer 250 gets a couple of features that help distinguish itself.
For instance, the bikes features a bronze engine cover, an engine cowl, special machine-finished alloy wheels along with bronze highlights on the headlight and side quarter panels. It packs a bigger motor with a 6-speed transmission and a unique oil-cooling system, fatter tyres and dual-channel ABS. Other notable features include a full LED headlight and tail light, a digital instrument console, a rear tyre hugger, a 300mm front disc and Suzuki’s Easy Start System. At a price of Rs 1.59 lakh, the Gixxer 250 goes up against the KTM 250 Duke (Rs 1.97 lakh) and the Yamaha FZ25 priced at Rs 1.36 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom Delhi).
