Nielsen and Salisbury will face the Colombian team of Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah in the next round.
The sixth seeded Colombians had defeated Andres Molteni of Argentina and Roman Jebavy of the Czech Republic 6-2, 6-4, 3-6, 6-0 earlier on Friday.
