Ingredients:

1) 1 cup powdered sugar / icing sugar
2) ¾ cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
3) tsp vanilla extract / vanilla essence
4) 1¼ - 1½ cup buttermilk or 1½ cup warm milk + 1 tsp vinegar
5) 1½ cups maida / plain flour / all-purpose flour
6) ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
7) 1 tsp baking powder
8) ½ tsp baking soda
9)pinch of salt

How to make black forest cake

1) further add vanilla extract and buttermilk. combine well.

2) now sieve maida, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda and pinch of salt.

3) then cut and fold gently till the smooth dropping consistency batter formed.

4) bake the cake at 180 degree celsius for 30 minutes.

5) finally, cool down the cake completely and cut into 2 equal half.

6) now place 1st layer and top with cherry syrup, frosting and cherries.

7) repeat for 2, 3 and 4th layer.

8) start spreading frosting over the sides of cake carefully.

9) place chocolate curls in the centre and stick on sides.

10) furthermore, decorate cake and place cherries in the centre.
