The new Mahindra brings a healthy number of segment-first features, but would that make it more expensive than its rivals?
Ex-showroom price of the XUV300 is expected to be in the range of Rs 8 lakh to 12 lakh.
Mahindra XUV300 bookings are open for Rs 20,000.
Brings segment-first features like dual-zone climate control, front parking sensors and seven airbags.
Mahindra is having another go at the sub-4m compact SUV segment with the XUV300, which is set to launch on 14 February 2019. This time around, the carmaker has prepared a package that looks good, packs loads of features along with a set of powerful and torquey engines. But in a sea of sub-4m SUVs in a similar price bracket, should you be cutting this new Mahindra a cheque? Our expected prices should help you come to a conclusion.
The new Mahindra XUV300 will be available in a choice of four variants: W4, W6, W8 and W8(O). The sub-compact SUV will be powered by a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 1.5-litre turbo-diesel. Both the engines will be paired with a manual transmission only at launch. Here’s what we expect the XUV300 to be priced at.
Disclaimer: These are the ex-showroom estimates and final prices might vary.
We expect Mahindra to price the XUV300 in a way that it takes the fight directly to rivals like the Maruti Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon and Ford EcoSport. The Mahindra XUV300 gets many features that its rivals do not, so it is possible that it is priced at a premium over the competition.
