Ingredients for Syrup:

For Bhajani Flour

1. Rice - 2 cups

2. Chana Dal (Bengal Gram) - 2 cups

3. Coriander Seeds - ¼th cup

4. Cumin Seeds - ½ cup

5. Urad Dal (Black Gram) - 1 cup

6. Salt - a pinch

For Bhajani Dough

7. Bhajani Flour - 2 cups

8. Sesame Seeds - 1 tbsp

9. Turmeric Powder - a pinch

10. Red Chilli Powder - as per taste

11. Asafoetida - a pinch

12. Ajwain - 1 tsp

13. Oil - ¼th cup

14. Salt to tatse

15. Hot water to knead

Procedure:

For Bhajani Flour

1. Take a pan and roast rice, Bengal gram and black gram, separately. Roast until those become crisp.

2. Now, equally roast the coriander seeds and cumin seeds and keep them aside.

3. Then, grind all these roasted ingredients together into a fine powder.

4. Your bhajani flour is ready. You can store it for one year in an air-tight container.

For Bhajani Chaklis

1. Take bhajani flour into a big bowl and add oil to it. Mix quickly with a spoon.

2. Now, add all the other ingredients into the flour and mix everything well.

3. Add hot water to knead the flour into a dough. Add water slowly, so that the consistency remains appropriate.

4. You are going to need a chakli mould to make the chaklis. Coat the mould with oil from inside.

5. Now, make equal section of the dough that fits well into the mould.

6. Take a deep-bottomed pan and heat oil.

7. Now, take sections of the dough and put it one by one into the chakli mould to make the chaklis. Don't forget to bring out the chaklis on a plastic sheet.

8. When you get the desired number, put the chaklis into the medium hot oil.

9. Fry chaklis well from both sides, until they become golden brown in colour.

10. Take it out on a kitchen towel and serve with sauce or chutney.
